CSU volleyball team moves up to No. 14 CSU volleyball team moves up to No. 14The CSU volleyball team moved up Monday to No. 14 in the national rankings, matching its highest ranking of the season.

The Rams (19-2, 8-0 Mountain West Conference) swept Denver and Wyoming last week to run their winning streak to 10 consecutive matches. Colorado State University has won 14 of 15 matches since losing Sept. 4 at Florida, now the No. 1 team in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll.

The Rams’ only match this week is an 8 p.m. contest Saturday at San Diego State. CSU’s next home match is at 7 p.m. Nov. 4 against UNLV.

CSU was ranked No. 17 in the preseason poll and worked its way up to No. 14 in the Sept. 13 poll. The Rams fell to No. 18 the following week after dropping a home match to Long Beach State, the team with the most votes not in the Top 25 in this week’s poll. CSU has steadily worked its way back up the rankings for the past six weeks, spending two weeks at No. 18 and moving up one spot a week in the past four polls.

Women’s Golf Team Tied For Seventh
BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The CSU women’s golf team prepared itself for the tough conditions at the Boulder City Golf course. The Rams are tied in seventh place after the first round.

The Rams played only one round in the first day of the tournament, scoring a team total of 298 for Day 1. Arkansas is currently in first with a team total of 277, followed by Washington with a team total of 294. Tied for third is Louisville and Arizona with team totals of 295.
