Injury to Clay Buchholz makes room for Andy Pettitte on American League All-Star roster
Just call him All-Star Andy. Andy Pettitte is headed back to the All-Star Game for the third time in his career, replacing injured Red Sox starter Clay Buchholz on the American League roster.
Pettitte was likely headed to Anaheim regardless, as Joe Girardi had all but named him as CC Sabathia's replacement sinceSabathia won't be able to participate.
In the Midsummer Classic because of a new MLB rule that prohibits starters who pitch on the Sunday before the break from pitching in the All-Star Game.
