We had Annette Huygens-Tholen, an Australian Olympian who played beach volleyball in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, with us on the show. She called in via Skype as she was in Australia! Below are just a sample of the topics discussed during this enlightening show:
First of all she corrected Rees because he said she was an EX-Olympian where once an Olympian, always an Olympian. She explained what it’s like to be in the Olympics. We talked about how she was calling from Australia and how she felt they could beat anybody. We talked about her current ties to the Olympics and what it’s like to be on a team. Annette talked about how her preparation for sports helped her approach her professional career post sports.
