Warren Miller’s ‘Wintervention’ blasts into theaters
Now Warren Miller’s 61st film comes to Portland.
“Wintervention,” narrated by Olympic champ Jonny Moseley, will be shown at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Arlene Schnitzer Concert, 1037 S.W. Broadway Ave., and 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, at Bagdad Theater, 3702 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd.
The film also will be shown at Tigard High School, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2; LaSells Stewart Center at Oregon State, 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3; McDonald Theatre in Eugene, 6 and 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4; and, Salem-Elsinore Theater, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6.
Tickets for the Portland shows are on sale at Mountain Shop and at Ticketmaster locations, or by phone at 1-800-745-3000. Everyone attending the show will receive a voucher for a free lift ticket to Mount Bachelor and other perks.
“Wintervention” features classic “snow-diction” from around the world – from the U.S. in Colorado and Utah to Antarctica to Argentina to Norway and to the Caucasus Mountains of the country Georgia. It features high-profile stars such as Chris Davenport. JJ Thomas, Lindsey Vonn and Hugo Harris and innovators like Andy Mahre, Jossi Wells and Zach Black.
