Wendi Richter – New Entrant into WWE Hall of Fame’s class of 2010
Born on September 6, 1961, Wendi Richter is an ex- professional wrestler. She started her wrestling career with companies such as National Wrestling Alliance, and teamed with Joyce Grable and held the NWA Women’s World Tag Team Championship twice with her. Wendi joined World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1980, and held the WWF Women’s Championship twice and disputed with The Fabulous Moolah over the title. Wendi Richter was also indulged in a storyline with singer Cyndi Lauper called the “Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Connection.” She left the WWF after she lost her title in controversial fashion and started working in American Wrestling Association and World Wrestling Council, where she held both companies’ women’s titles
Recently in an announcement made by WWE, the former Woman’s Champion Wendi Richter was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2010. She was the third inductee into it.
Wendi Richter will be inducted by Rowdy Roddy Piper. The inductance is being made a day before the Wrestle mania and will be made on Saturday a day before Wrestle mania 26.
